Overview
About GLUTATHIONE
Glutathione is a naturally occurring tripeptide composed of glutamine, cysteine, and glycine — and one of the body's most critical antioxidants. Widely studied for its roles in oxidative-stress reduction, detoxification, immune-system support, and skin health, its versatile biological functions make it a foundational compound in redox biology and cellular-protection research.
Mechanism of Action
How It Works
Glutathione neutralizes reactive oxygen species, regenerates vitamins C and E back to their active antioxidant forms, conjugates and detoxifies heavy metals and environmental toxins via glutathione S-transferase, and directly regulates cellular redox state. Its unique ability to regenerate itself through the glutathione reductase enzyme cycle distinguishes it from most other antioxidants.
Scientific Literature

Handling
Storage & Reconstitution
Dry Storage
Store lyophilized powder at −20°C, away from light and moisture. Do not open until ready to use. Shelf life is significantly extended by proper dry storage.
Reconstitution
Reconstitute using Sterile water. Add solvent slowly to the side of the vial and allow to dissolve gently. Do not shake vigorously.
Post-Reconstitution
Store reconstituted solution refrigerated at 4°C. Use within your laboratory's established timeframe. Do not refreeze after reconstitution.
